GHT 2019: From the sunshine state to the abode of the snows

Posted on 08 Jan 2019

Two trekkers from the Australian state famous for its sun and surf will embark on the world’s highest and longest alpine trek next month when our 150-day Great Himalaya Trek departs Kathmandu on 25 February 2019.

For 150 days, the two will trade the sunshine state of Queensland for the Himalaya, which translates to the ‘abode of the snows’. They’ll be joined by other trekkers from around the world who have chosen smaller stages over tackling the complete traverse.Should they complete the trail, the Queensland duo will join a select list of just 21 people, who have completed this iconic trek with us since 2011.
